Student Affairs Administration

The administration aims to establish a comprehensive work system between all communication channels within and outside the university to prepare a generation of students who are academically, culturally, and morally aware. Its mission is to encourage and continuously motivate students towards academic excellence while reducing the dropout rate by activating guidance and counseling processes, overcoming obstacles, solving student and academic problems, and equipping university students with planning and leadership skills through managing student associations. The administration also focuses on developing both current and future human resources to achieve the desired developmental goals.

Objectives of the Administration

The administration aims to develop university students’ competencies and build their culture by instilling Islamic values, training them in self-management through student union activities, and participating in external trips. It also seeks to resolve all student problems and provide comprehensive care for scholarship students.

  1. Academic Affairs Section
    • Monitors the work of the Student Affairs Committee, which reviews student appeals related to their studies, including:
      • Withdrawal from courses (semester).
      • Re-enrollment.
      • Transfer cases.
      • Students who have completed the required study period for graduation.
      • Fourth warning.
  2. Complaints and Issues Section
    • Receives complaints forwarded from the Dean of Student Affairs and the relevant Dean of the college, conducts preliminary investigations, documents them in reports, and implements decisions issued by the University System Committee while providing advice and consultation to students seeking it.
  3. Outstanding Students, Rare Specializations, and Academic Exchange Section
    • Encourages and motivates university students to achieve academic excellence through various material and moral means. It also promotes Kuwaiti students to pursue rare specializations that are underrepresented in the job market within ministries and public institutions.
  4. Union Section
    • Oversees the annual elections for scientific associations in the 15 scientific colleges, organizes union training sessions for administrative body members, and monitors student activities for scientific associations and professional clubs within the scientific departments of Kuwait University.
